Enabling the viewer to gain a perspective of how they fit into her constructions, Goudal confronts the slightly sinister nature of their climb into the bowels of the unknown by emphasising the humorous effect of their movements.

It is in highlighting this certain theatricality where she investigates the mechanics of looking; the multiplicity of seeing. Here, perspective, scale, illusion, and a search for the truth of vision - should any such thing exist - each gesticulate through the visual and aural rhythm of the film.
