Bex Ilsley

<p>Bex Ilsley (b. 1988, Gravesend) lives and works in Coventry, UK. Ilsley graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2016 and was one of the 2016 Woon Prize winners. Her practice explores the nature of body and personality in virtual, physical, and psychological spaces. Fantasy, performativity, objecthood and paradox are used as a lens through which to examine the authenticity of these structures.<br><br>Previous exhibitions include We Sing The Body Electric, Gallery46, London; SPLITS (solo), Odox, Birmingham; Black Hole Club Launch 2019, Vivid Projects, Birmingham; Flow My Tears (curated by Bob Bicknell-Knight for Daata Editions), Vanity Projects, Miami / New York; Sororidades Instagramer, Sala de Arte Joven, Madrid; boom + bust (solo), Goldtapped, Newcastle; and Emotional Processing (solo), Warrington Museum and Art Gallery.</p>
