Ilit Azoulay

<p>Ilit Azoulay was born in Jaffa 1972, Lives and works in Berlin, Germany. She received her BFA (1998) and MFA (2010) from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.<br><br>Her work has been exhibited extensively internationally in galleries and museums including solo exhibitions in The Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2017); Kunst Werke, Berlin (2014); Herzeliya Museum of Contemporary Art (2014); Rencontres d’Arles Discovery Award nominated by Quentin Bajac, Arles (2014); Andrea Meislin Gallery, New York (2011, 2013), Braverman Gallery, Tel-Aviv (2013). Group exhibitions include The Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2017), Pinakothek der Modern, Munich (2016), Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne (2015), Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, Paris (2015), The Museum of Modern Art, New York (2015), Daimler Art Collection, Berlin (2012) and The Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2011).<br><br> Lit has won won several awards among them the Constantiner Photography Award for an Israeli Artist, Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2011), the Israeli Culture and Sports ministry prize (2011), Mifal ha-Pais Foundation Grant (2013), finalist of the Pictet Prize for Contemporary Photography (2015) and the Israeli Culture and Sports ministry prize (2017). Her works appears in numerous international museum and private collections including The MoMA, New York, Guggenheim Museum, New York, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Julia Stoschek CollectioN, Berlin, National Gallery of Australia, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and Art Institute of Chicago. Recent publications include Finally Without End, an artist monograph (Sternberg Press, Berlin) and Shifting Degrees of Certainty, following her exhibition at KW (Spector Books, Leipzig).</p>
