David Gryn curates Film & Sound at Art Basel in Miami Beach

<p>David Gryn, Director of Daata Editions has curated his 6th Edition of Film for <a href="https://www.artbasel.com/miami-beach">Art Basel in Miami Beach</a>. Screening at both the Miami Beach Convention Center Film Library and on the 7,000 square-foot outdoor projection wall at Soundscape Park, New World Symphony Center. </p> <div class="video-container">Gryn has focused on international artists who engage with music in a variety of different ways. Gryn’s program includes a lineup of 28 short films titled “Best Dressed Chicken in Town” after Jamaican singer Doctor Alimantado’s 1970s reggae song. Artists include: Ana Mendieta, Anri Sala, Derrick Adams with Ramon Silvera, Samson Young, Kudzanai Chiurai, Edgardo Aragón, Luther Price, Catharina van Eetvelde, Ara Peterson, Matt Copson, Martin Creed, Jillian Mayer, György Kovásznai, Tromarama, Kim Gordon, Li Shurui & Li Daiguo, Adam Shecter, Brian Alfred, Dashiell Manley, Haroon Mirza, Zak Ové, Cabelo, Lena Daly, Nate Boyce, Tomislav Gotovac, Rodney Graham, Keren Cytter.</div> <div class="video-container"><br></div> <div class="video-container">The program of more than 50 films and video works, features artworks from participating galleries including four films by Polish artist Wilhelm Sasnal titled 'Love Songs', and two “Double Bill” programs pairing works by Christian Marclay and Rita Ackermann and then Alfredo Jaar and Liliana Porter. A programme titled 'New Parthenon' featuring: Ain Bailey and Sonia Boyce, Alex Prager, Anna Grenman, Rashid Johnson, Penny Siopis.</div> <div class="video-container"><br></div> <div class="video-container">In addition, David Gryn has curated his 3rd edition of Sound by artists utilising the 160 surround sound system speakers in the Soundscape Park featuring: Ain Bailey, Zoë Buckman, A.K.
