Heath Franco at Spring 1883

<p>Daata Editions is excited to announce the release of new artwork by Heath Franco to coincide with his presentation at Spring 1883 in Sydney with Daata x Cement Fondu.<br><br>THREE CELLS is part of an ongoing body of work by Franco that delves into materiality, the analogue physicality of ‘real world’ matter and imagines human-like, camouflaged lifeforms that may exist within the apparently inanimate.<br><br>The three environs presented in THREE CELLS: Leafycell, Carpetcell and Papercell, were shot on the same video set structure, redressed for each scene with each materially distinct ‘expanded costume’ shared by the life form existing within.<br><br>Image: Heath Franco, THREE CELLS, 2019, Courtesy of the artist and Daata Editions</p>
