Daily Rush. Season 2: Cache
4 Artworks

Daily Rush is a web platform and exhibition series for experimental media and moving image developed by the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. For its second season, Daily Rush premieres four moving image works that reimagine place as protagonist, by William Marcellus Armstrong, Oksana Mirzoyan, Bailey Scieszka and Maya Stovall, artists and filmmakers living, working, or otherwise engaged with Detroit.

Though this season is, principally, a suite of digital artifacts, each work is positioned against a distinct cultural backdrop of Southeast Michigan and metro Detroit. Together, they are an interface between regional history and its sprawling reach in digital culture, between lived experience and its regenerative, edifying life on screen.

A new season of Daily Rush is released three times annually, presenting recent and commissioned works of new media and emerging ideas on digital culture by artists, writers, and imagemakers from Detroit and beyond. Daily Rush is organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit and curated by Pat Elifritz, Curator of New Media and Technology at MOCAD.
